Madhav Kumar Nepal announces his candidacy



Kathamandu, May 31. CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal on Saturday announced his candidacy for the post of party chairman at the party’s upcoming general convention.

In the function of nominee announcement, Secretary Yubaraj Gyawali proposed Nepal for the post of party chairman organised at the Academy Hall in Kamladi.

Announcing his candidacy for the top UML post, leader Nepal, also a former prime minister, said that he would play active role to make the party more dynamic and end the culture of factionalism within the party.

Proposing Nepal as the candidate for the post of party chairman, secretary Gyawali said that Nepal had the strength to unite all the communist leaders of the country.

Leaders Bhim Rawal, Surendra Pandey, Prakash Jwala, Asta Laxmi Shakya, among others, were present in the programme.
