PM Koirala meets Chinese vice premier Wang



KUNMING, JUN 06 – Prime Minister Sushil Koirala , who arrived here in Kunming , Yunnan Province of the People’s Republic of China on Thursday, met with vice-premier of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Yang, on Friday morning.

During the meeting held at the Saigon Garden Hotel, Kunming , the duo discussed various issues of mutual interests between the two countries.

On the occasion, PM Koirala urged vice-premier Wang for the financial support and investment in Nepal, according to PM’s personal aide.

Prior to this, Prime Minister Koirala also visited the under construction hydropower project at the bank of Whang Liken River in China.

The visiting prime minister is scheduled to inaugurate the Nepal Theme Pavilion Second of the China South Asia Exposition at 2:20 pm as per the local time.

At the inaugural session, Minister for Commerce and Supplies, Sunil Bahadur Thapa, will deliver speech. After that Prime Minister Koirala will visit the fourth, fifth and sixth pavilion of the expo.

Similarly, Koirala will participate in the inaugural ceremony of the Second China South Asia Expo at 3:00 pm and will address the ceremony to the post of chief speaker.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Koirala met with Governor of the Yunnan Province Lee ZiHang and Yunnan Province Secretary of the Community Party, China, Qin Guangrong.

Likewise, the Prime Minister attended the dinner hosted by the Governor ZiHang, on Thursday evening.

Prime Minister Koirala is scheduled to return home at 6:20 pm today after completing the two-day visit. RSS
