PM Koirala to leave for US tomorrow on medical trip

Kathmandu, June 15.  Prime Minister Sushil Koirala is leaving Kathmandu for the United States of America for medical treatment tomorrow evening.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to undergo a medical checkup in the US on June 19, according to the PM’s Secretariat.

He will be accompanied by his personal physician Prof Dr Karbirnath Joshi, relatives Mridula Koirala and Atul Koirala, and security official Colonel Prakash Deuja.

The Prime Minister was recommended by doctors to undergo check-up at some ‘good’ medical facility after a spot was discovered in his lungs in course of a routine medical checkup here recently.

The government on Thursday had decided to cover up all expenses of Koirala’s checkup and treatment in the US.
