Dhakal says: I was sacked just because not a member of Koirala family
Kathmandu. Laxman Dhakal a close aide to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala for years, has claimed that the decision to sack him as the prime minister’s personal secretary was a conspiracy.
Speaking at a press conference organised at the Reporters’ Club on Wednesday, Dhakal claimed that he was sacked just because he was not a member of the Koirala family.
He charged that members of the Koirala family were involved to oust him from the post.
“I was sacked due to various agents of power,” Dhakal said, “Some elements are active in (the PM’s residence) Baluwatar to defame Koirala.”
Dhakal went on to claim that people who had ignored the Nepali Congress party when it was in crisis are roaming around Koirala soon after he was elected the prime minister. “I have frequently saved Prime Minister Koirala from people with bad characters and intentions,” he claimed.
Moreover, Dhakal said that it was a shame that Prime Minister Koirala was ignorant of the removal of his personal secretary. This gives rise to a suspicion that some other elements, but not the PM, are leading the country, according to him. Dhakal said that he was handed over the dismissal letter just today. He, however, claimed that he would once again try to win heart of the PM Koirala.
Dhakal has said that he worked with Prime Minister Koirala for the past 11 years as an assistant and had never thought that he would be removed in such an embarrasing way. He said, this time i was unable to win the conspiracy.
Dhakal, however, said that he would continue working for the party and would try to win people’s confidence. Dhakal was removed from his duties at the Prime Minister’s Perosonal Secretariat yesterday.
