Home Minister says Chari’s death was not a premeditated conspiracy



Kathmandu, August 8.  Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bamdev Gautam has claimed that killing of gangster Dinesh Adhikari alies Chari in police action was not a premeditated conspiracy.

But some leaders of his own party CPN-UML, who are representatives from Dhading district have claimed that death was premeditated conspiracy.

Gautam clarifies that  Chari was killed in a gunfight with police personnel in Bhimdhunga, around 7 km from Sitapaila, on the outskirts of the Capital. The encounter was carried by police personnel in civies deployed from Metropolitan Police Crime Investigation Division  Hanumandhoka, under SSP Pushkar Karki, while addressing the Legislative parliament on Friday.

The Home Minister said the killing took place in an encounter, when police had to open fire in retaliation after Chari, who was running away from police in a motorcycle, started the shooting.
