China pledges more support to Nepal: DPM Gautam



Kathmandu, October 22. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bamdev Gautam has said that the China has  pledged its additional support in socio-economic development of Nepal. Minister Gautam has also informed that the China has praised Nepal’s commitment towards a ‘one-China policy’,

Talking to media persons upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) today after a weeklong-visit to the northern neighbour, the DPM Gautam said China has expressed its special concerns over Nepal-China cross-border crimes and security.

China is always in favour of national integrity and independence of Nepal, he said, adding the Chinese Government has praised the Nepal Government and Nepali people for their well-wishes to China and a ‘one-China policy’.

Sharing about his visit programmes, the DPM said during his stay in Beijin and Lhasa, he had separate meetings with high-ranking officials and Chinese Communist Party politburo members and apprised them of latest political developments in Nepal.
