CPN expresses worry over activities of ruling parties

Kathmandu, Nov 03.  The Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has expressed worry over what it called the slim chances of promulgating a new constitution on the basis of common consensus from the Constituent Assembly.

Co-chair of the party Lok Narayan Subedi today issued a press release and said that the parties are conspiring to weaken the achievements of people´s movement like republic, federalism, proportional election system and inclusive principles instead of institutionalizing them.

He further said that the activities of the political parties seem to have concentrated to weaken the social harmony rather than strengthening them. -RSS
