Koirala‚ Dahal discuss statute issues

KATHMANDU, Jan 16: Prime Minister and President of the Nepali Congress Sushil Koirala and Unified CPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal had a meeting at the former’s official residence in Baluwatar, today.

During the meeting, UCPN-Maoist Chairman Dahal urged Prime Minister Koirala to take initiative for taking ahead the constitution writing process forging political consensus, said Dahal’s personal secretary Chudamani Khadka.

In response, Prime Minister Koirala said he is not against political consensus and urged the Maoist Chair to support sending the Constitutional-Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee report to the Constitution Drafting Committee.
