Country’s future hinges on PM’s step: Chairman Gachhadar
KATHMANDU, FEB 10. Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Loktantrik (MJF-L) Chairman Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar has said that Prime Minister Sushil Koirala must show flexibility in order to forge consensus. He warned that the country would head towards conflict if the PM failed towards that end.
“The prime minister’s role will determine whether the nation will head towards consensus or to the conflict,” he told to the special interaction program of the Reportes’ Club Nepal on Tuesday, “PM has the foremost role. If he fails, country will suffer.”
Gachhadar told to the delegation led by Reporter’s Club Nepal’s President Rishi Dhamala the talks would resume immediately if the PM commits to move ahead with 12-point agreement, Comprehensive Peace Accord, Interim Constitution, Madhes movement, Adivasi/Janajati movement and other agreements reached among the political parties.
“I have faith that the environment conducive for talks would be created by tomorrow,” he said, “I have had three telephone conversations with PM Koirala. I have talked to other leaders as well. They should create an amicable environment for talks and take initiatives with an open mind.”
