RPP-Nepal to boycott tomorrow’s CA meeting

KATHMANDU, The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP)-Nepal has decided to boycott the meeting of the Constituent Assembly (CA) scheduled to be held on tomorrow.

Joint-Spokesperson of the Party, Mohan Shrestha, said that the RPP-Nepal has decided to boycott the CA meeting as it has been protesting against decision of the CA Questionnaire Formulation Committee to not feature questions regarding federalism, republicanism, and secularism.

A joint meeting of the central work execution committee and Parliamentary Party held at Singha Durbar today concluded that the act of the Questionnaire Formulation Committee for not including such issues was autocratic.

The meeting also decided to condemn any activities that ignore the party’s demand of finalizing the issues of federalism, secularism, Hindu nation, among others through a referendum.

Shrestha said that the party decided to boycott the CA meetings until the process that does not address their proposal in the questionnaire committee continues. RSS
