TIA to remains closed till 5 pm this evening

KATHMANDU, March 6: Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) which has been closed since Wednesday morning after Turkish Airlines Airbus met with an accident will remains closed till 5 pm this evening.

The shutdown of only airport of Nepal has left thousands of passengers stranded.

The Indian team of technicians, who arrived here with necessary kit, is expected to complete the clearance works by early this afternoon TIA Chief Birendra Prasad Shrestha said.

A team of aircraft technicians of Indian Air Service had arrived in Kathmandu on Thursday to remove the stranded plane of Turkish Airlines.
