Fire destroys 18 houses in Sunsari

INARUWA, MAR 25 – A massive fire broke out at Bhokraha VDC-1 in Sunsari district Tuesday midnight.

According to the District Police Office, Sunsari, a total of 18 houses were destroyed by the fire that started from a cowshed of a local Ilias Mansuri.

Superintendent of Police, Sanjayram Sharma, said the fire gutted property worth around five million rupees including food stuffs, clothes, utensils, among other goods.

Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force personnel and locals doused the fire with the help of a fire engine brought from Inaruwa Municipality. It took three hours to extinguish the fire. Investigation was underway as to the cause of the fire, added police. RSS
