Tibetan held for acquiring Nepali citizenship illegally

KATHMANDU, Apr 5: A foreign national was arrested on the charge of acquiring a Nepali citizenship certificate through forged documents.

Tenzing Sherpa of Khamnunghen of Tibet, an autonomous region of China was found to have acquired the Nepali citizenship.

Sherpa had taken the citizenship certificate by submitting fake details as a Nepali national of Helambu VDC-6, Sindhupalchowk district.

The Chinese national had taken the citizenship certificate in 2068 BS.
