Load-shedding blocking industrial outputs in Butwal

BUTWAL, Apr 10: The industrialists here have demanded a cut-off of load-shedding hours in Butwal industrial corridor.

Stating that the industrial corridor has been facing more power outage hours than the residential area, they voiced their concern that the asymmetric load-shedding has

reduced industrial outputs.

They expressed disappointment over the apathetic gesture of authorities concerned to address their demands despite repeated requests and warned of launching phase-wise

agitation if their concerns were not heeded.

At a press conference organized by Butwal Industrial Corridor Industry Association on Thursday, the participating industrialists proposed the government to reduce

existing twelve hours of load shedding to eight hours or ensure supply of full electricity during four days and complete load-shedding for three days.

The feeling of insecurity and incidents of burglary have also increased owing to power outage in industrial corridor from 6.00 pm throughout the night, said

Association Chairperson Ram Prasad Basyal.

Chairperson of Industrial Corridor Industry Federation Til Prasad Bhattarai said it is very unfortunate that the industrial corridor is facing tough time due to increasing load-shedding.
