PM Koirala and UCPN (Maoist) Chairman hold meeting

Kathmandu, May 13: Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and Chairman of the Unified CPN (Maoist) Pushpa Kamal Dahal met at the Prime Minister’s Official Residence in Baluwatar, today.

The two are learnt to have discussed systematizing the distribution of the relief to the earthquake victims on the occasion.

The Prime Minister and UCPN (Maoist) Chairman talked of making the distribution of relief in a more systematic manner as complaints from various quarters have been received that people from remote areas in the earthquake affected districts had not got the relief and rescue support as per their need.

They also discussed on the need of distributing necessary corrugated zinc sheets and relief before the monsoon and managing temporary shelters to the earthquake victims, said Prakash Adhikari, Press Advisor to the Prime Minister Koirala.

UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Dahal urged Prime Minister Koirala to create the environment for the smooth supply of rice, tarpaulin and other relief materials in view of the public complaints regarding the inadequate distribution of relief materials from different districts, said Dahal’s aide Shiva Khakurel.
