Resolving people’s problem and institutionalizing achievements are main task of hour: Oli
Kathmandu, Sept 13: Chairman of CPN (UML), KP Sharma Oli, has said that resolving people’s problems and institutionalising achievements gained from different movements was the prime need of the hour.
Participating in the clause-wise deliberations on the amended Bill of the Constitution of Nepal-2072 at the Constituent Assembly today, Chairman Oli said that collaboration and support of all was necessary as we have reached to a turning point to take the country ahead.
Pointing out the need of completing the historic responsibility of promulgating the democratic constitution despite difficulties and challenges, he said it was the need of hour to protect the achievements. “The country should not be put into a crisis by halting the constitution writing process, launching different agitation and carrying out violent activities”, he said and added that necessary amendments could still be made even after the promulgation of the new constitution.
He said that the major parties were ready to address the demands of those parties that are out of the Constituent Assembly (CA) putting forth their demands and dissents rightfully.
Stating that it was not right to launch agitation without holding discussion inside the CA, Chairman Oli stressed that the people would not accept the agitation launched in the name of Tarai-Madhes, as it was the attempt against national unity and sovereignty.
Chair Oli said, “We have reached to a defining moment and this is our collective achievement. It must be institutionalized soon.”
The bill of the constitution has addressed the genuine demands of different agitations and it would be address further remaining demands gradually in the days ahead, added Oli. RSS
