Bombs go off in churches injuring three police personnel in Jhapa



Bhadrapur, Sept. 15: Three police personnel were injured in separate bomb explosions in different churches in Jhapa district.

The police said that three bombs were planted in churches in Gauradaha, Damak and Surunga.

Superintendent of Police Thakur Prasad Gyawali said that the bomb planted in Gauradaha Church is not defused yet.

Gyawali said that the bomb kept in Damak Church exploded at 11:30 last night but no human casualty was reported.

Similarly, Assistant Sub-Inspector Bednath Yadav, police head constable Bharat Karki and policeman Kedar Poudel were injured in the bomb blast while attempting to defuse the bomb planted in the church located at the premise of Surunga Police Post.

The injured are receiving treatment at the Birtamod-based B and B Hospital. Police said that an investigation into the group involved in bomb plantation is going on. RSS
