Big four parties’ meeting ends inconclusively



Kathmandu, Sept 17: The prolonged meeting of the major three political parties and the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum Nepal (Democratic) ended without conclusion late night Thursday.

After the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s residence, Baluwatar, MJF (Democratic) Chairman Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar said they could not reach the conclusion, but decided to continue meeting on Friday too.

Similarly, Vice-Chairman of the CPN-UML, Bhim Bahadur Rawal, said although the big three parties proposed the MJF (Democratic) of addressing the demand of proportional inclusiveness, sorting out disputes on delineation of province through federal commission, and devising at least one constituency in each 75 district and others based on population, the latter did not agree on it, thereby ending the meeting without conclusion.

Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala, NC Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel, CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli, senior leaders Jhalanath Khanal and Madhav Kumar Nepal, UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Vice Chairman Narayankaji Shrestha and Forum (Democratic) Chairman Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar attended the meeting.
