Majority government if not a consensus govt.: Leader Pokharel



Pokhara, Oct. 3: CPN-UML General Secretary Iswar Pokharel has said that the Prime Minister renounced his post as per the prior agreement on the same.

Speaking at a press meet organized by Press Chautari Nepal, Kaski chapter here this morning, he said the process of forming a new government has begun with the renouncement of post by the Prime Minister. “A consensus government shall be formed, and if not a majority government,” he said.

UML Party Chairman and Parliamentary Party leader KP Sharma Oli will be proposed to the post of the new Prime Minister, Pokharel added. Stating that UML will lead the government not at the mercy of someone but based on its strength, leader Pokharel claimed that it would be difficult to implement the new constitution without UML leadership of the government.

It was unfortunate that India is unhappy over our constitution which has been welcomed by the rest of the world.
