Limbuwan withdraws indefinite strike

Dhankuta, Dec. 14: The Limbuwan Party today withdrew the indefinite strike imposed in nine districts of the eastern region.

The Limbuwan agitation high-level committee had announced the indefinite strike from Sunday demanding implementation of the five-point deal signed with the government in the past.

Central secretariat member of the party, Gentle Lawoti, said that party’s protest programmes were revised by considering the people’s hardships they are going through due to blockade and agitations in the Tarai districts.

With the withdrawal of the strike, vehicular movement has returned to the normalcy in the region.
