Daycare centre in Singha Durbar to get new building



Kathmandu, Dec 16: Chief Secretary Dr Somlal Subedi has today laid the foundation stone of the new building of the daycare centre in Singha Durbar. The Centre has been operated by the Civil Servant Wives Association.

The building, proposed to be built at the estimated cost of around Rs 8.48 million with the financial aid from the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare will be an one-story building with two blocks.

The building, spanning across 203 square metres in area, could accommodate some 37 children, it was shared. Likewise, altogether 58 children of civil servants female staffers working in various offices inside in the main administrative enclave of the country are receiving child care services from the old building of the Centre built in 2011.

On the occasion, Chief Secretary Subedi urged to construct child-friendly building.

Likewise, Secretary of the Ministry, Madhu Regmi, and chairperson of the Association Anjana Subedi underscored the quality and timely construction of the building expected to come into use in May, 2016.
