NC office bearers’ meeting decides to resolve Tarai issues thru dialogue



Kathmandu, Dec 17: A meeting of the office bearers of the Nepali Congress today has decided to resolve the ongoing problem in the Tarai through dialogue. 

The meeting held at the residence of the party president Sushil Koirala at Mahargunj in the capital today has decided to seek consensus on the basis of constitution amendment bill tabled in the parliament by holding dialogue among the political parties. 

The party has called its parliamentary meeting today itself to hold discussions in this regard. Similarly, the meeting held discussions on managing the party active membership distribution process for upcoming 13th general convention. 

The party general secretary Prakash Man Singh informed that they held discussions on how to forward the tabled bills in the parliament. He added that the meeting decided to bring the protesting Tarai-based parties to a consensus along with constitution amendment process. 

The party president Koirala has also intensified discussions with Tarai-based party leaders to bring them into consensus process.
