Constitution enforcement is Congress top priority: Sitaula
Gorkha, Dec 19: Nepali Congress General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula has said the effective enforcement of the new constitution was the top priority of his party.
Taking part in an interaction programme organised by the party here today, leader Sitaula argued that the party had no more interests in remaining in the power, but the successful implementation of the constitution was its priority.
Underlining the need of addressing the Madhes issues by the United Democratic Madhesi Front to the mainstream of the politics, he said the country’s new constitution drafted by the people’s representatives has tried its best to ensure the rights of all citizens.
There is a room for carrying out amendments to the constitution as per the demand of time, he said, focusing on the meaningful enforcement of the constitution and thereby leading the country towards economic prosperity. RSS
