Tarai issues should be resolved soon: leader Shrestha
Biratnagar, Dec 26: UCPN (Maoist) Vice-Chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha has said the political parties were working seriously to resolve the problems facing Tarai/Madhes.
At a news conference organized by the Revolutionary Journalists’ Association, Morang chapter today, Vice-Chairman Shrestha opined for ruling and opposition party’s consensus to sort out the problems seen in Tarai.
He added that protest of Madhesi Front and Tharu community should be resolved through political consensus as they were political issues. He added that the Madhesi Front’s demands could be addressed through constitution amendment bill tabled at the parliament.
Leader Shrestha stressed on taking initiation to end the border blockade and expediting reconstruction projects.
In another context, he clarified that there was his party’s objection in breaking the ministries.
