Biratanagar, Jan 9: Nepali Congress General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula has said that the national unity was the need of the hour as the nation was still in transitional period.
At a news conference organized by Nepal Press Union, Morang in Biratnagar today, leader Sitaula said that the national unity was needed also to remove the obstacles that could seen during the first phase of implementing the new constitution.
He added the elections including for the local bodies should be held after the implementation of the constitution in first phase to end the political instability. Sitoula added that the current problem in the Tarai would be resolved soon as the talks with Madhesi-front were heading towards a positive direction.
Leader Sitaula further said that the upcoming 13th national convention of the party could probably change the leadership.
