Rangeli shooting victims families to be provided Rs 25,000



Pathari (Morang), Jan 24: The families of the victims of Rangeli shootout are to be provided with Rs 25,000 each by the District Administration Office Pathari to perform death rituals of the deceased.
Three people were killed on January 21 in clash between the police and the agitating UDMF cadres. An all-party meeting held with the participation of the representatives of United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) at the District Administration Office agreed with the decision of providing Rs 25,000 each to the victims’ families immediately.
The UDMF demanded the status of martyr to the deceased, formation of a high level probe committee to investigate the incident, arrangement of free treatment of the injured and compensation to the victims’ families. The meeting agreed to recommend the Home Ministry regarding the arrangements of free treatment and compensation, UDMF Coordinator Raj Kumar Yadav said. UDMF Coordinator and Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal Chair Yadav, Tarai Madhes Loktantrik Party Chair Mohammad Kadir, Sadbhawana Party Chair Chandra Prasad Rajbanshi and Tarai Madhes Sadbhawana Party’s Ramanand Saha signed the agreement paper on behalf of the UDMF, an alliance of Madhes-centric parties expressing displeasure at the new constitution.

CPN (UML) District Chair Mahesh Regmi, Nepal Congress local leader Nagesh Koirala, Gopi Achhami of UCPN ( Maoist), and Kushal Limbu of Maoist Revolutionary also signed the agreement.
