NC President Koirala congratulates Indian PM Modi



Kathmandu, Jan 26: Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala, on the behalf of his party, its members and his own, extended best wishes and congratulations to the Prime Minister, the government, political parties and people of India on the occasion of 67th Republic Day of India.

Sending a message to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, NC President Koirala, also leader of opposition in Legislature-Parliament, said that the multifaceted relations existing between Nepal and India are based on understanding, goodwill and cooperation both at the Government and people’s level.

Koirala also expressed belief that the age-old friendly relations existing between our two countries and the people sharing fundamental democratic values and dignity will widen and deepen further in the years to come.

The message reads, “We count on India’s continued support in strengthening democratic institutions to firm up the foundations of peace and stability and pursue socio-economic transformation with an overall framework of democratic polity as desired by the people of Nepal.”

Also the former Prime Minister, Koirala wished for good health and happiness of Indian PM Modi as well as for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of friendly people of India.
