Nepal sets 239-run target to New Zealand
Kathmandu, Jan 28: Nepal has set 239-run target to New Zealand in today’s match under the ICC U-19 World Cup taking place in Bangladesh.
After losing the toss and invited to bat first, Nepal scored 238 runs in 50 overs with a loss of seven wickets in the match played at Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium, Fatullah.
Captain Raju Rijal contributed 48 runs while Sandeep Sunar and Arif Sheikh gathered 30 runs each.
Similarly, Kushal Bhurtel and Prem Tamang were not-out at 35 and four runs respectively while Rajbir Singh, Sunil Dhamala and Yogendra Singh Karki collected 24, 15 and six runs, respectively.
Openers Sandeep Sunar and Sunil Dhamala jointly scored 39 runs from the first wicket.
