Horse racing from April 23 in Pokhara
Pokhara, March 25: Horse racing competition is set to take place in tourism capital of the country, Pokhara, from April 23 in a bid to promote and develop sports tourism. The event will run for five days.
This information was shared at an interaction organised here today. On the occasion, central member of Nepal Horse Riders’ Association Lokjung Lama, also chairman of Western Regional Horse Riders’ Association said that horse riding tourism would be an effective means to develop tourism in Pokhara.
He viewed that horse trekking trail could be constructed to attract more tourists. Likewise, Western Sports Development Committee Chairman Khag Raj Poudel said that horse riding tourism could be developed as an adventure sports to attract tourists. RSS
