Government and Madhes-centric parties urged to give up obstinacy



Saptari, April 15: Convenor of the Naya Shakti (New Force) Nepal, Dr Baburam Bhattarai has said the government should address the genuine demands put forth by the Madhes-centric parties.

Addressing the ‘Madhes awakening’ campaign programme at the Kankalani Secondary School at Portaha today, former Prime Minister Bhattarai called on the government and the Madhes-centric parties to find out solution to the political deadlock through talks, giving up their intransigence.

He stated that the Saptari district has been facing problems in the health, education and employment sectors and pointed out the need for resolving these problems.

Meanwhile, Dr Bhattarai honoured various persons from the martyrs’ families including Babita, the widow of Birendra Ram of Dedha VDC-3 who attained martyrdom in course of the People’s Movement-3, and Dhuran Shafi who sustained injuries in the same movement.
