Federal Alliance demands for rewriting of the Constitution

Kathmandu, April 22: The Federal Alliance has demanded for rewriting of the Constitution.

The programmes include handing over a memorandum on their demands to the government via District Administration Offices, erecting black flags at government office premises, carrying out public demonstrations including rallies and mass meetings in district headquarters, mass assemblies in major cities and towns of the nation and picketing Singhadarbar, the central administrative hub, among others.

The Alliance constituents have also decided to raise issues of public including growing inflation, shortage of petroleum products and load shedding among others during their protest. Organising a press meeting in Kathmandu, the Alliance unveiled the protest programmes.

The United Democratic Madhesi Front, which had carried out a Madhes-centric protest for more than five months after the Constitution promulgation, has been leading the Federal Alliance.
