Director Nandy calls on Chairman Dahal

Kathmandu, April 28: Director of Asia-Pacific Division of the Department of Political Affairs in UN New York Headquarters Subinay Nandy called on UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Thursday.

The meeting held at 8 am today later on Dahal’s reisident at Lazimpat. During their meeting, the duo discussed contemporary political situation of the country, peace process, Constitution implementation and post-earthquake reconstruction.

According to the source, the had also discussed the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappeared Persons (CIEDP). In the meeting, Nandy asked Dahal, what kind of help Nepal required to take the peace process to a logical conclusion.

Chairman Dahal opined that Nepal might need help of the United Nations to conclude remaining works of the peace process through the TRC and CIEDP.
