NRA seeks budget and programme details

Kathmandu, May 1: The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) today sent an appeal to the concerned ministries to present budget and programme details necessary for the next fiscal year.

The ministries mentioned in the Post Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA) were notified to present the budget, NRA said. The Authority has disbursed an additional Rs 11.67 billion to provide money under the first installment to qualified house owners for grant agreement, NRA Spokesperson, Ram Prasad Thalaiya, RSS. “Earlier Rs 939.9 billion was released in grant to house owners,” he added.

The NRA released the money as per the list published by the district coordination committees in Gorkha, Makawanpur, Dhading, Nuwakot, Sindhupalchowk, Ramechap, Kavrepalanchowk, Dolakha, Rasuwa, Okhaldhunga and Sindhuli.

With the earlier release and the recent one, NRA has released around Rs 12.59 billion in total in grant for those whose houses were completely destroyed during the earthquake. RSS
