PM tables reports in parliament

Kathmandu, May 11: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli tabled the 25th annual report of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), 2071/072 in the meeting of the Legislature-Parliament today.

Similarly, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Agni Prasad Kharel presented the Annual Report of the Attorney General, 2071/072′.Also on behalf the Minister for General Administration, Rekha Sharma, Minister Kharel presented the 55th annual report of the Public Service Commission, 2071/072.

Madhes-centric parties boycott meeting

The lawmakers from the Madhes-centric parties boycotted the Parliament meeting today also, citing the government was not keen on addressing their demands.

At the outset of the meeting, lawmaker Dimple Kumari Jha said the Madhes-centric parties had no option than to protest as their demands have gone unheeded despite the agitation in the Tarai-Madhes since long over certain provisions of the constitution.

She demanded that the government immediately fulfill the demands raised by the Madhes-centric parties.

Lawmakers of the Federal Socialist Forum, the Tarai-Madhes Loktantrik Party, the Sadbhavana Party, Nepal Sadbhavana Party, the Tarai-Madhes Sadbhavana Party among others boycotted the meeting.
