SAGAR KARKI, CHITWAN, Oct 29: Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, said Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party will take the decision on the issue of impeachment motion against the Chief of Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).
At a programme organized by Nepal Press Union, Chitwan here, Minister Mahat said the party’s central committee had delegated the task of taking the final say on the issue to the PP. He said as the legal process is underway, the Congress party will also come up with a decision soon.
The Minister noted that NC is a mature party and that it will not fall short of standing on the sides of justice and good governance.
On a different note, Minister Mahat said there will not be any agreement or treaties during the Indian President’s visit to Nepal. He added that agreements will be signed at the executive level while making it clear that the visit by Indian President, who is a constitutional head, was only a solidarity visit.
Foreign Minister Mahat also emphasized that during the recent meeting between the two countries, Nepal had kept its interest and necessity at the centre.
