Investors pledge to invest Rs 13.53 trillion in Nepal

KATHMANDU, March 3: Investors from various countries have pledged to invest Rs 13.53 trillion in various projects in Nepal during Nepal Investment Summit – 2017 that concluded on Friday.

Chinese investors made commitment of Rs 8.3 trillion which is 61 percent of total pledges. Likewise, investors from Bangladesh announced to invest Rs 2.4 trillion in Nepal.

Neighboring country India made investment pledge of Rs 31.7 billion.

Investors from Japan and England pledged one trillion rupees each, according to the event organizer, Investment Board Nepal.

Similarly, Investors from Sri Lanka pledged Rs 50 billion at the summit, whereas Nepali investors pledged Rs 1.15 billion.
