21,000 voting centers to be set up for May 14 election

KATHMANDU, March 15: The Election Commission is preparing to set up 21, 000 voting centers for the upcoming local level election.

Chief District Offficer, Local Development Officer, District Security Chief, District Election Office and chiefs of  Municipalities and Village councils and representatives from different political parties have been handed the responsibility of selecting and fixing voting centers, said spokesperson of Commission Surya Prasad Sharma.

“We have already instructed to fix all the voting centers before March 23,” he added.

He also said that the EC has instructed to fix accessible, quiet and safe voting centers .
