PM’s best wishes on Republic Day

KATHMANDU, May 29: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has wished for happiness, peace, prosperity and continued progress to all Nepali sisters and brothers extending a message of best wishes on the occasion of the Republic Day today.

The PM expressed heartfelt condolences to all known and unknown martyrs for their sacrifices made in all movements including People’s War, historical people’s movement and others for the establishment of the republic in the country.

PM Prachanda said that the first phase of the local level elections which is a step for the implementation of the inclusive federal democratic constitution achieved from the people’s struggle and heroic sacrifices was successfully completed recently.

“The second phase of the local level elections is being held on June 14 in a grand manner. I appeal to all Nepalis for their cooperation and active participation in the second phase of local elections as was in the first phase because the polls are sure to institutionalize the concept of the three layers of government as envisioned by the Constitution of Nepal,” reads the message issued by the PM.

He further said that heading the nation towards socio-economic prosperity based on robust national unity of all language, religion and communities from Himal, hill and Tarai/Madhes and to ensure constitution’s implementation through broader acceptability is the need of the hour.

PM Dahal has also expressed his confidence that the transition would come to an end and constitution’s implementation would be wider after the elections to the federal parliament and provincial assembly till January 21, 2018. RSS
