Rayamajhi

KATHMANDU, Aug 31: Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Deputy parliamentary party leader of CPN (Maoist Center), has said that alliance with CPN-UML is possible in the upcoming third round of local level elections slated for September 18 in Province 2.

“Maoist Center is ready for alliance with any political parties. We will reach a conclusion after carrying out discussion,” said Rayamajhi while speaking during an interaction program organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal on Thursday.

“Alliance with UML is also possible,” he added.

He, however, said that Maoist Center has not placed any party as top priority for poll alliance.

“We will start open discussion with various parties. If not no understanding is formed with any parties, Maoist Center can contest alone,” he added.

Rayamajhi also claimed that MC would become the first party in the upcoming local polls. “Our party has always fought for the rights of Madhesi people, indigenous and  Tharu community and women. Maoist Center has always played an important and decisive role in the national politics,” he said adding, “People believe us. We will become the top party in Madhes again and again.”
