IGP Aryal vows to further strengthen security

KATHMANDU, Oct 12: Inspector General of Police, Prakash Aryal has said peace and security would be further strengthened in the country.

IGP Aryal said this in a message he gave on the occasion of the 62nd Police Day today. Stating that the House of Representatives and State Assembly elections were nearing, IGP Aryal said the security would be further strengthened.

“The citizens can get to feel peace and security only if there is the environment where they can exercise their franchise without any fear,” reads the IGP’s message.

The IGP has highly evaluated the role of the police personnel in keeping the law and order by passing through various ups and downs since the police force’s inception.

He also paid tributes to the ‘immortal and brave police personnel’ who attained martyrdom in course of fulfilling their responsibility. The IGP extended heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families.

IGP Aryal wished that may the 62nd Police Day give new energy to the police rank and file and inspire to be dedicated to their work night and day.

There are more than 72 thousand police personnel in Nepal Police at present.
