Making Nepal prosperous is only mission of leftist alliance: Chair Dahal

CHITWAN, Nov 6: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that there was no any intention of leftist alliance except making Nepal a prosperous country.

Addressing an orientation program organized by the Leftist Alliance’s Joint Election Mobilization Committee, Chitwan on Monday, Chairman Dahal said, “The current mission of the leftist alliance is unity and prosperity of the country.” He added that leftist alliance was forged as per the need of the country.

Chairman Dahal, who is contesting in the election to the House of Representatives from Chitwan Constituency no 3, said that cadres of other parties including the Nepali Congress and Rastriya Prajatantra Party have also seen the leftist alliance positively.

Saying initiatives have been taken for the unification between the CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) with an objective of taking the country towards a new revolution, he argued that they would usher socialism of the Nepali model within 10 years by garnering two-third majority.

Directing the cadres of both parties, CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman urged them to be determined to fulfill this mission.

Similarly, CPN-UML leader Surendra Pandey said that leftist alliance was for economic prosperity and sustainable peace. Pandey is a candidate to the House of Representatives election from Chitwan Constituency no 1. RSS
