Bomb hurled at State Minister Pun’s vehicle in Rolpa


KATHMANDU, Nov 16: A bomb was hurled at Nepali Congress leader and State Minister for Irrigation Amar Singh Pun in Gjodagaun, Suwarnamati rural municipality of Rolpa on Thursday afternoon.

Leader Pun was en route to Jailipokhari from Liwang when his vehicle was attacked.

No occupants were hurt in the incident, according to District police. Police have been deployed in the area to find those involved in the bomb attack.

This is the second life threatening attack over a election candidate in the district. Earlier, on November 11, CPN (Maoist Center) leader Barsaman Pun’s vehicle was also attacked in Madi rural municipality-1, in Bhittabang.
