CPN (Maoist Center) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal

CHITWAN, Nov 17: CPN (Maoist Center) chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal said the objective of formation of the leftist alliance was to see a stable government and prosperity in the country.

Addressing an election assembly at BP Chowk of Geetanagar, the part of Chitwan constituency no. 3 from where he is contesting the House of Representatives election, Dahal said his decision to fight in the election from Chitwan was for bringing prosperity in the district.

He added that his previous candidacies in the first and second Constituent Assembly (CA) had some specific political purposes. The candidacy from Rolpa and Kathmandu in the first Constituent Assembly (CA) was for bridging the gap between the centre and the district and candidacy from Siraha and Kathmandu in the second CA election was for reconnecting the Madhesh and hill. Now his political agenda for the election was over, and his candidacy for the upcoming election was for the good of the nation in overall.

Taking names of few NC leaders such as BP Koirala and Girija Prasad Koirala, he applauded them for their political sacrifice for the welfare of the nation. He said the NC decision to back anti-republic forces was itself an insult to both veteran leaders.

He took the time to claim that it was just a day dream if anyone else believes of winning the election through the power of money. RSS
