NC committed to correct constitutional errors: Nidhi

DHANUSHA, Nov 17: Nepali Congress leader Bimalendra Nidhi, who is contesting in the House of Representatives election from Dhanusha constituency number 3, has expressed his party’s commitment to correcting the mistake seen in the constitution.

Speaking at the election campaign assembly and meet with voters program in Janakpur Sub-metropolitan City -10, Nidhi said the constitution amendment proposal was forwarded under the leadership of the Nepali Congress before and it will also take leadership in correcting the mistakes in the constitution.

He added that the NC was moving ahead with the goal of addressing the Madhesi issues and taking maximum benefit from minimum risk.

Leader Nidhi stated that the present constitution has ushered the country into federalism and republic, and the future generation would curse those parties and leaders who did not sign on the constitution.

He also expressed his commitment to fast-tracking the infrastructure development in Janakpur as per the local people’s aspirations while keeping intact the religious, cultural and spiritual ideals of this city.

Leader Nidhi said his candidacy was for the development of Janakpur and for making it the province capital and urged the voters to vote for the Nepali Congress in the November 26 election.

Meanwhile, some 70 people joined the Nepali Congress quitting from the Rastriya Janata Party, CPN-UML and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP). RSS
