NC did nothing for country and people in past: Chair Oli

KP Oli

LALITPUR, Nov 28: CPN-UML Chair and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the Nepali Congress did nothing in the interest of the people despite getting majority time and again in the past.

Speaking at an election program organized by the left alliance at Lagankhel on Tuesday, Chair Oli said that the only thing that the NC did was privatization of national industries and handing over democracy to the then royal palace.

He further said that the NC was spreading rumor that totalitarianism would be imposed in the country if the left alliance gets victory in the upcoming elections. “It was NC’s defeated mentality to spread such rumor,” he added.

The former PM said that the incidents challenging the security were the result of incapability of the government. Indicating towards the various incidents of bomb blasts across the country, chair Oli said, ” why such incidents are happening, are they to restore monarchy or to handover the state mechanism to the bomb blasters.”

Speaking at the same program, UML politburo member Raghu Ji Panta said that only a communist-led government can work for country and people.

Similarly, CPN (Maoist Center) leader Pampha Bhusal, who is contesting polls from Lalitpur-3 to the House of Representatives, said that the NC was violating election code of conducts by purchasing votes. RSS
