Four including NC candidate injured in Udayapur bomb explosion

KATHMANDU, Nov 29: At least four persons including a Nepali Congress candidate for the parliamentary elections were injured when a cooker bomb went off in Udayapurgadhi Municipality, Udayapur on Wednesday morning.

NC candidate from Udayapur constitutency-2, Narayan Bahadur Kari, NC cadres Dhanmaya Dhaulakoti and Nira Katuwat and driver Rajan Karki sustained severe injuries, said the police.

Karki was en route to Nepaltar from Katari for election campaigns. The injured have been airlifted to Kathmandu for further treatment.

Police said they have launched an investigation over the incident.
