Deuba confident of NC’s victory in federal parliament election
DHANGADHI, Dec 1: Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba on Friday claimed that NC would garner full majority in the House of Representatives election. The first phase of election was held on November 26 while the second and final phase is taking place on December 7.
Speaking at a press meet organized by Nepal Press Union at Dhangadhi Airport, Deuba urged the people not to doubt about the party’s competency of winning the majority in the election.
“People have been further enthused by the election, our majority is certain and thus vote for the NC confidently,” he said while condemning the attacks targeting the election candidates and poll campaign in different parts of the country.
The Prime Minister further said, “The government will not be perturbed by such incidents.”
Those involved in bomb explosions in some parts of the country have been already arrested and the government would not let such anarchic elements walk free, he said, urging voters to confidently take part in the elections.
He pledged free and fair election. The Prime Minister is scheduled to address an election assembly in Achham and Doti today itself. RSS
