KATHMANDU, Jan 10: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has clarified that the party unification will be concluded within 20 days from now.
Talking to journalists at the Tribhuvan International Airport before leaving for Thailand for his routine health checkup on Wednesday, Oli said, “We are focused on management of people. Let’s not worry about leadership management. The party unification process will be concluded within 20 days from now.”
Stating that conspiracies are being planned to foil the party unification process he claimed that the conspiracies will be unsuccessful. “The unification process will gain momentum once I return from Bangkok,” he added.
He also expressed his dissatisfaction over the delay in the formation of new government.
He said, “The government has not yet appointed province chiefs and fixed temporary province capitals. The incumbent government is dillydallying the essential tasks bringing up excuses. Earlier, it made the excuse of National Assembly Ordinance, and now the issue of province capitals. The government is only trying to lengthen its tenure.”
He also accused the Election Commission of coming under the pressure of the government and urged the EC to publish the result of proportional electoral system immediately.
Oli also said that his health was okay. “I am going for my regular health check-up.”
He is accompanied by his wife Radhika Shayka, nephew Rajesh Shakya, Dr Divya Shakya, Dr Yadav Bhatta and his personal secretary Rajesh Bajracharya. He is scheduled to return home on January 16.
Oli had undergone kidney transplant in New Delhi in 2007.
