Indian External Affairs Minister Swaraj meets RJPN leaders
KATHMANDU, Feb 1: Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has held a discussion with Rastriya Janata Party Nepal leaders on Thursday.
“The discussion was held in a very positive atmosphere,” said RJPN presidium committee coordinator Mahanta Thakur.
During the meetig held at Soaltee Crowne Plaza, RJPN leaders said that people have given them a mandate to amend the constitution adding that it was their parties’ major agenda.
Swaraj, in exchange said that the issue of constitution amendment was Nepal’s internal matters and advised the leaders to move forward in the path of development and prosperity.
In Swaraj’s inquisitive if RJPN would participate in the new government, the RJPN leaders said that joining the new government was not the parties primary agenda.
Swaraj also said that he had come to Nepal to congratulate Nepali people and leaders on election completion and the country’s entering into a new era of development and prosperity.
Earlier, Swaraj had held one-to-one discussion with CPN-UML Chair KP Oli.
