Dahal stresses on formulation of clear policy regarding foreign investment

KATHMANDU, Feb 10: CPN (Maoist Center) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Saturday said that the government should make clear policy regarding the foreign investment in Nepal based on priority.

Addressing the 14th General Assembly of the Nepal Egg Producers Association in Chitwan on Saturday, Chair Dahal highlighted the need to determine primary sector for foreign investments.

“In the age of globalization, we need foreign investments in some sectors. But the state should form a clear policy regarding the acquirement for foreign investments. Otherwise, it could increase threat to national economy.”

He was of the view that the state should modernize the agricultral sector and work for the betterment of workers and farmers.

Stating that he had dreamt of rich Nepal and the people had approved the path of development and economic prosperity through recent elections, Dahal added the next government will work in interest of common farmers and entrepreneurs.

Similarly, poultry federation chair Gunachandra Bista shared that Nepal was self dependent in poultry production for past 15 years.

He further opined for increasing the investment in the sector. The AGM will conclude electing a 15-member working committee today itself.
